Insurance Survey
Insurance Companies are in the business of managing risk. For that reason, a prudent insurer would be wise to get an independent determination of the vessel's overall condition and the value of the asset before covering a boat. Whether, using our inhouse list or if the insurer has its own specific list of items, we will skilfully get the vessel examination done.
Pre-Purchase Survey
A Prepurchase Survey is done before buying a vessel. These are more in-depth surveys comprising not only assessments of the vessel’s condition, but also operational testing of all systems and equipment, as well as a sea trial. This provides the potential buyers with the information that they need to make an informed purchase decision.
Condition & Value Survey
Condition and Value surveys are performed when buyers would like an independent review of the condition and approximate monetary value of a boat. We perform a comprehensive assessment of the vessel's structure and its propulsion systems. In the case of sailboats, additional rigging surveys may be necessary.
Damage Survey
Damage surveys are necessary in cases of accidental damage to a Vessel or her Cargo. We determine the nature, extent, location and cause of the damage and the cost of repairs. Often, these are required by insurance companies after an unfortunate incident.
Towage Survey
Towage Surveys are completed in accordance with IMO Guidelines for Safe Ocean Towing. For these surveys, we verify that the towage plans and arrangements are satisfactorily in compliance with the guidelines.
